Is the hotel kid-friendly?Guests must be 16 or older to stay on the property and visit the pool. Most rooms are designed for two guests with one bed, making Melrose River Club an adults-only hotel.

Is the hotel pet-friendly?We have three designated pet-friendly cabins available– two of our Classic Cabins & one River Luxe Cabin. A $50 fee per pet applies (maximum two pets, each 40 lbs or under). Contact us in advance to check availability.

What time is check-in and check-out? Is late check-out available?Our standard check-in time is at 4:00pm and check-out is at 11:00am. Late check-out at 1:00pm is available for a $35 fee.

How do I float the San Marcos River?We recommend floating with Texas State Tubes or Don's Fish Camp. Both options start upstream and float past Melrose River Club. If you stay with us, you can hop out at our property for a shorter 1.5-hour float, and we’ll return the tubes for you. Or, continue for the full 3-hour float. Please note that we do not offer a shuttle service.

Is parking available at Melrose River Club?Yes, complimentary parking is available on-site for all hotel and Pool Pass guests.

What is the nearest airport to Melrose River Club?The nearest airport is Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, about a 40-minute drive away. Contact us and we will help arrange your transportation from the airport to Melrose River Club.

How far is the hotel from downtown San Marcos, Texas State University, and the San Marcos Outlets?Melrose River Club is just 10 minutes from downtown San Marcos and Texas State University and 15 minutes from the San Marcos Outlets.

Is the hotel handicap accessible?Select areas of the property and event venues are accessible, but most room types are not ADA-compliant. Please contact us to ensure we can accommodate your needs.

What is there to do at Melrose River Club and in San Marcos, TX?Relax poolside with a cocktail, soak up the sun in our cabanas, or float and fly fish the San Marcos River. Other outdoor amenities include fire pits, a nature trail, bocce, and cornhole. Just a short drive away, you can explore downtown San Marcos, enjoy live music at Cheatham Street Warehouse, shop the outlets, or catch a game at Texas State University.

What are your quiet hours?Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 8:00am. Please keep music and noise to a respectful level at all times.

Does the hotel have a lost and found?Yes. Items left behind can be mailed for a $25 handling fee plus shipping. Items unclaimed after 30 days will be donated to a local consignment shop.

Does the hotel provide toiletries?Yes. All rooms include a private ensuite bathroom stocked with LATHER bath products, plush towels, signature linens, and cozy bathrobes.

Is there a coffee maker in the rooms?All rooms are equipped with a Keurig coffee maker for your morning brew.

Does the hotel have WiFi?Yes, complimentary wireless internet is available in all rooms and throughout the property.

What is your biggest room?Our largest accommodation is the Bungalow, which sleeps up to five guests.

Can I request to be located near my friends?Contact us and we’ll do our best to place your rooms close together.

Do the rooms have TVs?Yes, every room comes with a smart TV for your entertainment.

What are the room policies?Melrose River Club is a smoke-free property, including all indoor and outdoor areas. Each cabin is designed for two guests maximum, aside from our Bungalow which accommodates five guests maximum.

What is your cancellation policy?A 50% deposit is due at booking, with the remainder auto-collected 14 days before arrival. Cancellations made by 12 PM CST, 14 days prior to arrival, will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days are non-refundable. Early departures and no-shows will be charged in full. Please contact us with any questions.
